Fischer-Schneider is a chess program developed at the University of Stuttgart by two math students. The program is written in assembly language dubbed TEXAS (Telefunken Externcode Assembler) for a Telefunken TR-4 mainframe computer. Later ported to IBM System 360.
In 1975 the program played at the first German Computer Chess Tournament.
